“Makes no sense”- Chelsea boss Tuchel has his say on FIFA banning Thiago Silva

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has made his point stating Thiago Silva is not officially out

According to football.london, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel had his say on the ongoing dispute between clubs and the Brazilian FA. The Chelsea boss suggests the decision to ban Thiago Silva and other Brazilian Premier League players helps nobody. The German gaffer has urged that a better solution must be found for the upcoming international breaks.

Chelsea also joined other Premier league clubs in not allowing their players to join the international squad to red-listed countries. This saw Chelsea keep hold of their centre back Thiago Silva to which the Brazilian football authorities backed by FIFA has invoked a five-day ban for the Brazilian players who missed out on the world cup qualifiers.

Thomas Tuchel believes the ban by FIFA on players makes no sense.

With no clarity on this decision as it remains, Thiago Silva is set to miss out on this weekend’s fixture against Aston Villa and Champions league opener against Zenit Saint Petersburg. A similar situation could yet again come forth as the players will be called up by the National teams next month to participate in the World Cup qualifiers.

Thomas Tuchel has not taken this decision of banning the players kindly and urged the governing bodies and federation involved to find a better solution, The Chelsea boss said:

“If the ends up the situation if the players cannot play for the national team and are maybe suspended in the league.

“That helps nobody, it makes no sense. Not for the fans, not for football, not for the national teams or the clubs. Right now Thiago is not officially out.”

The Chelsea boss is under the impression that a solution could soon sort the issue out and the players are made available for this weekend’s fixture. With less than 24-hrs to the game, it’s a big ask by the Chelsea manager, who could potentially miss Thiago Silva for the Villa clash.
