Chelsea star Jorginho has shared a video mocking Rio Ferdinand for his comments
As seen on the official Instagram account of Jorginho (h/t Daily Mail), the Italian ace has re-shared a video of a Chelsea fan account named ‘everything.blues_’ on his Instagram story, which has openly mocked Rio Ferdinand for making critical comments about the midfielder in the past.
Jorginho, who was announced as the UEFA Player of the Year on the 26th of August, was handed over the award by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
The Blues were set to commence their defence of the Champions League, and the Italian was presented with his award before the game, while the likes of N’Golo Kante, Thomas Tuchel, and Edouard Mendy also picked up their respective awards.
However, winning this accolade meant a lot to Jorginho as he was previously ridiculed by Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand for his abilities.
However, the Italian midfielder made sure to mock the former English international by re-sharing a video of a Chelsea fan account named ‘everything.blues_’ on his Instagram story (h/t Daily Mail). The video contained the BT Sport Pundit making critical comments about the midfielder, followed by the 29-year-old lifting the UEFA Player of the Year award.
In the video, Ferdinand said (h/t Daily Mail):
‘He gets no assists, he’s not a great defender, once a game gets like this against the big teams he gets overrun in midfield, and he can’t run.’

Since making that statement, the 29-year-old Chelsea star has gone to lift the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the European Championship with Italy while playing a pivotal part in each of the tournaments.
Thus, lifting the personal award on Tuesday night might have possibly put to bed a lot of arguments made by pundits against him, including Ferdinand.
