Transfer News: Chelsea told massive €100m price tag for 18-year-old Bundesliga starlet

Transfer News: Borussia Dortmund have stamped a price tag of €100m on Jude Bellingham

According to Sport Bild (h/t football.london), Borussia Dortmund have quoted a massive price tag for Chelsea and other clubs interested in Jude Bellingham. The club has stamped a staggering €100million price tag on the 18-year old midfielder. The Englishman has been performing well for both club and country which has garnered attention on the teenager.

The player so far at Dortmund has played in a total of 52 games and contributed to the team with 5 goals and 47 assists. Since the start of this season, Bellingham has been involved in all six games for the German club. He also made a start in Gareth Southgate’s England team against Andorra which the Three Lions won comfortably by 4-0.

Bellingham, who previously played for Birmingham City, chose to join the German club Borussia Dortmund last year. The Bundesliga club paid a total of £25million for the teenager. And it’s evident Dortmund have been able to make the use of talent and the potential Bellingham possesses. However, with these performances, he is bound to attract interest from elsewhere.

Chelsea were looking to get a midfielder signed this summer and had been linked with Declan Rice from West Ham. However, the Hammers were only ready to let go of their midfielder for €100million. This saw Chelsea steer clear of the player and went on to sign Saul Niguez from Atletico on a loan deal. Saul is now seen as potential competition to first-choice N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in midfield positions.
