Transfer News: Chelsea receive boost in chase for Eduardo Camavinga
According to transfer news from L’Equipe (h/t Metro), Rennes are open to selling Chelsea target Eduardo Camavinga if their valuation is met. The French side value the midfielder at a modest €30 million. However, Chelsea are not the only ones after him with Manchester United interested as well.
Eduardo Camavinga was one of the breakout stars of the 2019-20 season. The Rennes starlet shot into the limelight with his performances and holds some distinguished records. From the age of 16, he was thrust into the first team and safe to say, he has had no troubles whatsoever in the short time he has had.
His talent made sure a debut for the French national side was also achieved last year. Camavinga pretty much started gathering attention over the entirety of last season and with his contract running into the last year, it has become all the more difficult for Rennes to rebuff any sort of approach as they would lose him for free next year.
Chelsea were among the clubs interested and now it seems they have received a bit of good news here. Rennes have opened up the possibility of a sale if their price tag of €30million is paid by any club. Chelsea, of course, have some advantage ahead of other clubs as Petr Cech has a strong relationship with Rennes.

It will not be an easy task regardless. The likes of Manchester United, PSG and Real Madrid (h/t Metro) are all said to be after Camavinga and all these clubs can very likely shell out that modest fee for such a prodigious talent. Chelsea might need the whole Petr Cech factor to work in their favour if they want to get their hands on the midfielder.
