Six Chelsea players offered to Sevilla to choose from as part of Jules Kounde deal
According to a report from 90min.com (h/t Express), Chelsea have offered Sevilla a pick of six players as part of the player-plus-cash deal to sign Jules Kounde.
News of Chelsea making a play for Kounde’s transfer emerged on Tuesday, with reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano revealing that the Blues were in advanced talks to sign the Frenchman. The Italian transfer expert also went on to claim that personal terms had already been agreed, with only an agreement with Sevilla pending.
It was also claimed that Chelsea had offered defender Kurt Zouma to the La Liga outfit, as part of the deal. However, it has now come to light that it is not just Zouma whose name has been presented as an option for Los Nervionenses. Instead, they have been offered a list of six players to choose from as part of the player plus cash transfer.
The five players, apart from Zouma, are Davide Zappacosta, Matt Miazga, Kenedy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Malang Sarr. The latter could be offered on loan as a direct replacement for Kounde, the report adds.
Apart from Zouma, none of the aforementioned players have been involved with the Chelsea first-team for quite some time now. Their departures would hardly dent the squad at manager Thomas Tuchel’s disposal. Sevilla’s stance on the matter, though, is not made clear.

Kounde has enjoyed two fine seasons since arriving in Spain from Bordeaux. The 22-year-old has shown great potential and has what it takes to develop into a top-class defender. When signed, he would be a top addition for Chelsea. However an agreement needs to be arrived at Sevilla.
