Transfer News: Erling Haaland agrees terms with Chelsea
According to transfer news from Express, Erling Haaland has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea. The Blues are now moving closer to signing the Borussia Dortmund star. Nonetheless, the fee is yet to be agreed upon.
The Norwegian hitman has taken Europe by storm with his goal-scoring exploits for RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund. In 59 outings for the latter, he has scored 57 goals. Chelsea have held an interest in the player for a while now as they try to add a striker to their ranks.
It looked as if Haaland was surely heading for the exit. But with Dortmund’s Champions League qualification ensured for next season, there is a chance that he remains in Westfalenstadion. Whatever be the case, it is expected that clubs like Chelsea and both Manchester sides would go after him.
Chelsea make advances in Haaland chase
Now, it appears as if Chelsea have made a breakthrough in the chase for Haaland. Ian McGarry believes that Haaland has already agreed personal terms with the Champions League winners.
“Personal terms for Haaland are signed off, it’s just a case of Chelsea agreeing a fee with Dortmund.”
It is believed Chelsea’s first offer of £60m plus Tammy Abraham was knocked back. Abraham is valued at £40m by Chelsea meaning that Chelsea were looking at a £100m offer. However, Dortmund are said to be demanding around £150m for their prized asset.

It’s not hard to guess why Chelsea are bending over backwards to sign the talented goalscorer. Chelsea might have won the Champions League. But the fact remains that they could have achieved even more with a clinical striker up front. Haaland has shown that he can do it at such a young age and Chelsea will be confident that they can get their man.
