Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich approves transfer bid for prolific European star

Roman Abramovich approves Erling Haaland bid from Chelsea

According to BILD (h/t Metro), Chelsea have been given approval by Roman Abramovich to go ahead and bid for Erling Haaland. The Blues are set to battle Manchester United for the Dortmund starlet’s signature.

It has not even been two seasons but the Norwegian hitman has taken Europe by storm with his goal-scoring exploits. First at RB Salzburg, then at Dortmund. In 43 outings for the German club, he has scored 43 goals.

However, there is a feeling within the club that Haaland could ask to leave if there is no Champions League football next season. It was Manchester United who tried to sign the player from Salzburg before he joined Dortmund. However, they are still keen on a deal for him.

Despite Manchester United keeping tabs on the youngster, Chelsea could come into the fray as their billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich has approved the club’s pursuit of the forward. Haaland is valued at £95m and Dortmund could demand a similar fee for him next season.
