N’Golo Kante is keen on staying at Chelsea despite interest from top clubs
World Cup winner N’Golo Kante has been linked with Real Madrid and Inter Milan. However, the Frenchman isn’t interested in leaving Chelsea, according to Le10Sport (h/t Daily Star).
Inter are managed by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and Kante was linked with a move to Italy (h/t Daily Star).
However, Kante has remained at the club and has featured in all our Premier League games so far. Kante has also played in the League Cup and featured for the national team since the start of the campaign.
The 29-year-old struggled with injuries last season as he only racked up 22 appearances in the Premier League. Frank Lampard has spoken of wanting to keep Kante and the report adds that the Frenchman isn’t keen on leaving the club.
Kante featured in our 3-3 draw against Southampton at the weekend and it will be interesting to see if he plays midweek too. The Blues take on Sevilla in their first Champions League group clash of the season.
A boost for the Blues
While Kante might have been below his best last season due to injuries, he still is an amazing player to have in the team.
We bolstered the side with some amazing signings but a fit Kante should always start for us. He provides the midfield with a lot of energy and there are very few players who can shield the defence as well as he does.
Kante is contracted with Chelsea until 2023 (h/t Daily Star) and hopefully, he stays with us for a long time.
