Arsenal legend tips young Chelsea star to force Bundesliga switch

Ian Wright tips Callum Hudson-Odoi to force Chelsea exit

Speaking on The Kelly & Wrighty Show (h/t The Express), Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi will be pushing to move to Bayern Munich.

With the window set to close on Monday, the Blues are winding up what has been a sensational summer window. The likes of Marcos Alonso, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko are expected to leave the club.

Wright believes Hudson-Odoi could join the list, contrary to the expectation otherwise.

The Blues are well-stocked in the attack. With Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech nearing their return, Frank Lampard is spoilt for choices.

Hudson-Odoi has made four appearances for the club so far this season. He came off the bench to ensure we earned a point at the Hawthorns last weekend.

With a full-strength squad available, the chances of him getting regular game time is far from assured.

“As tough as it’s going to be to get back in the Chelsea side – of course it’s going to be tough getting into Bayern Munich – but if they want you then it’s going to work for you out there.”

While Lampard is keen to keep the player on, Bayern Munich have revived their interest in the player. The Bavarians were in for the youngster last summer but he chose to stay on and extend his deal at Chelsea.

“He’s going to play at Bayern Munich whether it’s in and out.”

Speaking ahead of the match against Crystal Palace, Lampard admitted that Hudson-Odoi could leave the club on loan. This is a further indication that the player may not get the game time he craves for if he stays at the Bridge.
