Michy Batshuayi offered to Benfica
According to Portuguese publication A Bola (h/t Football.london), Chelsea have offered the services of out-of-favour striker Michy Batshuayi to Benfica.
Batshuayi joined Chelsea in 2016 from Olympique Marseille, but has hardly been a regular in the starting lineup in his four years at the club. In fact, the 26-year-old had been loaned out on two occasions to Borussia Dortmund and Valencia.
Batshuayi has appeared 77 times for Chelsea, scoring 25 goals and assisting eight more. Eight of those 25 goals came in the 2019/20 campaign. Having fallen behind Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order, he will now go further down with the arrival of Timo Werner.
As a result, Chelsea are keen on offloading the striker and have offered his services to Portuguese giants Benfica. (h/t Football.london)
The report states that Benfica had been keen on signing the 26-year-old back in 2013. And having failed with their attempts to sign Edinson Cavani on a free transfer, they might consider taking on the Belgian international this summer. (h/t Football.london)
Apart from Benfica, Chelsea have also offered Batshuayi to Premier League newbies Leeds United. In addition, Newcastle United have also expressed an interest on signing the 26-year-old striker, albeit on loan. (h/t Chronicle Live)

With the club going gung-ho in the transfer market, it is important that the books are balanced by selling players that are not part of the plans moving forward.
And Batshuayi is one such player who is unlikely to play any part under Frank Lampard come next season. It, however, remains to be seen if Benfica decide to sign the Belgian international or if he ends up somewhere else.
