Pedro’s contract at Chelsea expires in the summer

By moving to Japan, Pedro would get a chance to reunite with Spanish legend Andreas Iniesta.

Both the players enjoyed highly successful spells with Barcelona and Spain, with the latter winning two European Championships and a World Cup as La Furia Roja dominated international football.

Since joining Chelsea in 2015, Pedro has made 195 appearances for the London club and has scored 42 goals. He played a key role in Chelsea’s Premier League victory in 2017 and the UEFA Europa League in 2019.

The Spaniard has found himself on the fringes at Chelsea this season, owing to Frank Lampard’s youth revolution.
