Bournemouth have slapped a £75m fee on Chelsea target Callum Wilson, according to the Daily Star.
The English striker has 10 goals in all competitions for the Cherries this season, and the report claims that Maurizio Sarri was willing to bid up to £50m for the 26-year-old.
The Englishman could be a decent option for Chelsea given our problems in the front-line. Alvaro Morata is yet to hit the ground running this season while Olivier Giroud just cannot get a goal for the side.
The report adds that Bournemouth’s price is to drive Chelsea away and keep Wilson at the Cherries. The club even signed Dominic Solanke from Liverpool but the striker is a few weeks away from fitness due to an injury.
The club’s puclic stance is not to sell Wilson, however, the report claims that Bournemouth will listen to offers over £70m for the 26-year-old.
It will be interesting to see if we land a striker this window as our top four spot is under some threat. Arsenal lost their game at the weekend but Manchester United are resurgent under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and sit just six points behind us.
Chelsea also have a packed schedule thanks to their progress in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.

The Blues defeated Newcastle United 2-1 at the weekend, but that wasn’t a convincing victory with us surviving some scary moments from Rafa Benitez’s men.
