Chelsea have joined the race for Tottenham’s creative talent Christian Eriksen, according to AS (h/t Mirror).
The Dane has been one of the Premier League’s star since his move from Ajax in 2013 and is one of the best in the world.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in 2020, and Mauricio Pochettino recently claimed that Eriksen is free to decide on his future.
Chelsea could do with more creative options in their midfield, and Eriksen would be a wonderful addition to the side.
The report adds that Manchester City and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the Dane, with the Spanish side considering a bid for the 26-year-old.
Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic in the winter window, but will only join the side before the start of next season.
The Blues have preferred a midfield trio of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante this season, but the creativity hasn’t been great from either of the players.
It would be difficult to pry him away on the cheap as long as we have to deal with Daniel Levy. The Tottenham chairman is known to drive a hard bargain but we should have to money to get the Dane if we want him.
