The transfer window is officially open now and as the clubs look to bring in more players into their squad for the next season, the Blues too are desperate in their attempts to improve their squad this summer.
Chelsea have reportedly sent back the players they had brought in on trial loan periods, namely Radamel Falcao, Alexandre Pato and Marco Amelia.
Falcao who missed maximum time of the season due to injury will now be heading back to Monaco having made only 12 appearances for the Blues during one season.
While Pato, who headed to Chelsea in January on a half-season loan will now be heading back to South America having appeared twice for Chelsea scoring once.
“With contracts having come to an end, we today say farewell to three players who were part of the squad during last season – Falcao, Pato and Marco Amelia,” a statement read on Chelsea’s website.
“Chelsea Football Club thanks the players for their contributions and wishes them success in the future.”
The departure of the players marks the start of the changes that the Blues are set to undergo this summer under Italian manager Antonio Conte. The Blues are currently looking out to sign Michy Batshuayi whose move may be finalized once the Euro 2016 for Belgium ends.
