Chelsea outcast can sign for domestic rivals if he fulfils one condition

Sterling can leave Chelsea for Arsenal on one condition

Raheem Sterling has been excluded from Enzo Maresca’s plans at Chelsea and in a very blunt press conference, the Italian revealed that the forward, alongside other outcasts, will not be able to find a way back into the Italian’s plans throughout the season.

The Blues are prepared to sell the English international, who has seemingly accepted his fate and will be ready to leave the club on Deadline Day in order to continue his career elsewhere.

Arsenal are thought to be one of the interested parties for Sterling’s signing with Mikel Arteta a particular admirer of the player due to the time they spent working together at Manchester City some years ago.

The Spaniard wants to add competition for Bukayo Saka on the right flank and has identified Sterling as a possible signing, as well as an alternative option for Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams after a move for him never materialised this summer.

The Independent has reported that the Gunners are willing to sign him on one condition. He will need to sort out any of his contractual dues with Chelsea before leaving the club while a ballpark of the transfer fee Arsenal are willing to pay still remains unknown.

Sterling will also need to accept a massive reduction in pay to head to the Emirates Stadium. The ex-Liverpool star is currently earning £325,000 per week at Stamford Bridge but his potential wage at Arsenal is unlikely to exceed £150,000 per week.

Raheem Sterling has no future at Chelsea and is on Arsenal’s radar.

It will be exciting to see Sterling reunited with Arteta, especially if he can replicate the form from his Manchester City days. Chelsea, and in particular, Maresca, however, will be left to rue their decision of letting him go if indeed he is a success in north London.

More Chelsea News

Perhaps, Sterling deserved a better ending to his Chelsea career given what he has achieved as a player in the Premier League. He was keen on staying at the club to win over the coach and fans, but unfortunately, he does not have a future at least as far as Maresca is the coach.
