Revealed: How Chelsea could profit from mass clearout by European giants ft. De Ligt

Chelsea could profit from Bayern Munich selling six players in summer

Chelsea will be keeping an eye on the list of Bayern Munich players who could be sold in the summer after the German club appointed Vincent Kompany as their next head coach. Manchester United and Arsenal are the other Premier League clubs also alerted to the opportunity.

According to Sky Germany, Express, Bayern are looking to sell plenty of first-team players in the summer as they attempt to revamp the squad. It’s understood that Bayern will have to sell players to balance the books, and the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Noussair Mazraoui have been put on sale.

The Blues have shown interest in signing Coman and Gnabry but face competition from United. The West Londoners, however, don’t necessarily need players who operate from the wings, as their priority is signing a striker.

Coman could be a great replacement for Raheem Sterling if they decide to sell the England international, who has only struggled to stamp his authority ever since his move to West London from Manchester City.

Gnabry is another option who has previously played in the Premier League and knows the demands of the league. However, these players could be surplus requirements for the Blues, as Chelsea really doesn’t need any unless they decide to sell.

De Ligt will be an excellent defensive reinforcement as the Blues are open to selling Trevoh Chalobah in the summer, while Kimmich could replace Conor Gallagher at the heart of midfield. However, it is understood that Chelsea won’t have to sell players to comply with Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Should Chelsea target Kingsley Coman if he is available?

Tosin Adarabioyo has already been signed by the Blues, so it’s questionable if they would pursue another defender. We are currently fully equipped at those spots, so acquiring Kimmich makes sense if Gallagher leaves the team. If not, we shouldn’t consider signing any of the other players.

Thus, the Blues don’t have to spend exorbitant money this time and only address a No. 9 area. Besides, we don’t need other signings, so let’s hope that the club makes wise acquisitions this time and doesn’t go overboard with their expenditure.
