Bologna are looking to make a move for Chelsea starlet

As reported by Italian outlet Gazzeta, Bologna are eyeing a move for Chelsea starlet, Cesare Casadei this summer. The 21-year-old arrived from Inter Milan to the Premier League side back in 2022. Since then Casadei has spent a lot of time on loan with items around England.

Despite his best efforts, the 21-year-old hasn’t been able to grow a lot during his time in England. It seems like leaving Italy was a hasty decision and from the looks of it one that hasn’t ended up working out in his favor.

Bologna are in the market at the perfect time, Gazzeta states that Casadei is excited about the prospect of going back to Italy and testing himself in Serie A. So if the Italian side comes knocking this summer, the 21-year-old might be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea starlet is rated around €20m, this might look like a steep price to pay for him at the moment. However, if Casadei is able to find his best self in the future €20m would be a bargain for Bologna.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the Blues will allow Casadei to leave on a permanent transfer. The team has been signing a number of young talents lately, so it’s unlikely they’ll be moving a couple of them out as well.
