Who will Chelsea face in the next round of the FA Cup?

Chelsea will either face Leeds United or Plymouth in FA Cup fifth-round

According to Evening Standard, Chelsea will face either Leeds United or Plymouth in the FA Cup fifth round if they beat Aston Villa in the fourth round of the competition.

The Blues and Villains held a 0-0 draw and will have a replay at Villa Park. The first match was once again another disappointing draw for the West Londoners, who were better for most of the games.

But in front of the goal, their incompetence was evident once more. Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke both had superb chances to advance to the fifth round. There will now be a rematch of the match, which may determine who advances to the fifth round.

The Blues will have to be at their clinical best if they want to proceed deep into the tournament. Chelsea are already in the final of the Carabao Cup, and securing another final in the FA Cup would be seen as a top achievement for the club under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine manager turned the squad into an organised team, and with each game, they have shown unity and a resounding performance. If Chelsea are able to secure a final place in the FA Cup and finish fourth in the Premier League, then this season will go down as the most successful campaign following a dismal last season.

But the Lions have been impressive this campaign and are third in the league. Unai Emery has done brilliant work and has turned the team into the most dominant side, and they have made their home a fortress.

They are 15 games unbeaten at home, thus for the Blues to come back with a victory will be a monumental job. In the event that we triumph, it will be a decisive victory, and we will have ultimately broken their record.

We have done it with Tottenham Hotspur breaking their winning record, and we can do it again. It’s all about belief and the team’s display. Let’s hope we remain clinically best against villains.
