PL teams on alert after Chelsea back out from deal to sign 24-year-old star

Premier League sides are on alert after Chelsea’s deal with Tyler Adam hit snag

The Premier League has been set on alert as Chelsea’s deal with Leeds United to sign Tyler Adams has collapsed after the Blues turned their attention towards the signings of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.

According to Athletic (h/t Mirror), Adams is still attracting suitors from Premier League clubs despite failing to join the West Londoners who have abandoned their pursuit of him.

However, no clubs are considered favourites to sign him, but Manchester United and Liverpool are in the market for a defensive midfielder and could benefit from Adams’s addition.

The midfielder travelled to West London for his medical after Chelsea triggered his release clause of £20 million, only for the Blues to stall the signing.

Chelsea are now fully focused on signing Moises Caicedo, as the club was on the verge of losing him when Liverpool agreed personal terms with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Blues are now prepared to spend British transfer record money to sign their top target as they prepare a £115 million bid for the 21-year-old. They will start their new Premier League campaign against Liverpool on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.

Although it may be frustrating for the player, the club will always act in their best interests. The Leeds star wouldn’t have been available for us at the time if we had signed him because he is currently recovering from a hamstring injury and will be out through at least mid-September.

He is currently harbouring a hamstring injury that he suffered while with the Whites earlier this year. It remains to be seen what the reason for the move falling through was. But we could be missing out on a class player.

The 24-year-old is a dynamic defensive midfielder who specialises in breaking up playing and shielding the centre-backs. For that money, he is a pretty good buy, given he was a regular in the Premier League last season until his injury. Let’s just hope he doesn’t go to a Premier League rival because he will significantly strengthen their depth otherwise.
