Chelsea ready to make improved bid for Real Madrid midfield star

Chelsea are contemplating improved offer for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni

Chelsea are considering whether they should enhance their offer for Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni after their initial bid was turned down by the Los Blancos.

As per Sport, (Football.London), Chelsea offered €60m for the Frenchman, which was their opening bid. However, the Spanish club rejected it, and the Blues are mulling over whether they should make a renewed approach.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a decent debut season for the Los Blancos, making 33 appearances in La Liga. However, he never quite kicked on and in all fairness failed to make much of an impact.

Tchouameni will see more competition in the middle of the field following the arrival of Jude Bellingham. With the lieks of Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric also in the fray, the task is not getting any easier.

Chelsea on the other hand, don’t have a proper defensive midfielder after N’Golo Kante officially joined Saudi club Al-Ittihad. The Blues are exploring possible options with Mateo Kovacic also on his way out.

So far, Moises Caicedo has been on the radar of the club, but the club is still in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion to land the Ecuadorian. Tchouameni is a bigger name and would certainly form an all star midfielder with Enzo Fernandez in the Blues roster.

Chelsea thinking of raising their offer to sign Aurelien Tchouameni.

Tchouameni has been a terrific addition for Real, but it would be difficult to see him depart after only one season at the Bernabeu. Of course, he wants to develop at the club, but it will be taxing for him to play regularly because Madrid are stocked with midfielders.

He replaced the injured Paul Pogab on France’s path to the World Cup 2022 final, and his signing will be exciting even though it might take him some time to get used to the league.

If he wants to play regularly, Chelsea may be an excellent possibility. There, he can prove himself under Mauricio Pochettino, who will greatly aid the midfielder’s growth. It remains to be seen how the Spaniards will react if the Blues raise it to €80 million.
