Joao Felix discusses his feelings following his two Chelsea games
According to Joao Felix, everything has gone smoothly thus far for him at Chelsea, where the 23-year-old has made two outings. Felix was acquired by Chelsea on a loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window with the hopes of bolstering their offensive line.
And the player has returned the favour by scoring a goal and playing well in both games. So far, Felix’s move appears to be successful.
But his Chelsea debut ended in disappointment after he received a straight red card for a dangerous tackle that resulted in a three-match suspension.
But despite the game ending in a tie, he made a statement comeback by scoring against West Ham United, which has indicated how important his presence is now. He could have added a second goal when he sprinted through and tapped the ball into an empty net after his chip was stopped by the post, but it was disallowed because it was ruled offside.
The Portuguese remarked in a post-game interview (h/t Football.London), that we might have won if a penalty had been given and described his feelings towards Chelsea as follows:
“Playing on this team with the quality around me, it’s easy. We all connect well, and I think there are signs of that happening. Okay, we didn’t get the win on this occasion, but we can build on this for the next game and hopefully get the three points going forward.”
Felix appeared at ease playing in the middle of the attacking line as the Portuguese kept up their excellent play and were able to create openings with his precise passes.
Chelsea were a threat for the majority of the contest but were unable to score, thus they were forced to settle for yet another dismal stalemate.
But Felix’s performance was fantastic, and he made it clear that he will play an important role at Chelsea. His vision and originality helped to crack the Hammer defence.

And we hope he keeps up this level of play till his loan period is through because if he manages to persuade Todd Boehly, we might be able to buy him out as Boehly isn’t afraid to spend money on talented players.
