“Remained in my heart”- Chelsea target reveals childhood dream of playing for this English club

Chelsea target Josko Gvardiol makes interesting claim about Liverpool

Speaking in an interview with Danas as quoted by the Express, Chelsea target Josko Gvardiol has revealed being a Liverpool fan as a kid and even hinted that he’d love to move to Anfield.

Gvardiol is a very talented centre-back who plays for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. His performances have been top-notch for quite some time now. He only seems to keep getting better.

The 20-year-old centre-back had a World Cup to remember. He was one of the standout players at the tournament. Some of the performances he put in were simply spectacular.

Gvardiol is highly-rated and wanted by many clubs around the world. Premier League clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are said to be huge fans of the player.

However, it does look like if it were up to him, there is only one club on Gvardiol’s mind. That club is Liverpool, a club he admits to supporting since he was a small kid.

When asked which club a ten-year-old himself will tell him to join right now, he said without an iota of doubt that it would be the Reds.

β€œThat would definitely be Liverpool. Since I was little, I watched a lot of Liverpool matches with my dad, and we covered every season in detail. It is a club that has remained in my heart.”

The Blues will know that despite Gvardiol’s pretty decent admission that he would like to join Liverpool, it is not something that they need to worry about.

The Reds are not one of the clubs interested in the 20-year-old as things stand. Chelsea is also a very attractive club to join and if we are willing to pay the fee that Leipzig, Gvardiol might actually join us.
