Transfer News: Real Madrid confident of sealing a mega deal to sign Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham
According to a report in The Sun, La Liga giants Real Madrid are confident of sealing a mega deal to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, amid interest from Chelsea.
The teenager is one of the most sought-after players currently in Europe, with almost all the top clubs in the running for his signature. The Blues along with Los Blancos, Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in the 19-year-old.
However, the current European champions have become increasingly confident and believe that the England international will snub a move back home and join the Madrid-based club.
Graham Potter is in dire need to reinforce his midfield with young and talented players. The likes of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante have also reached ages beyond their prime, while the latter has also struggled to stay fit this season.
Other midfielders like Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have failed to prove themselves to be consistent throughout the course of the season. As such only Conor Gallagher and Carney Chukwuemeka could be considered the future of the club’s midfield.
A box-to-box midfielder, Bellingham has established himself to be one of the best in the world at such a young age. He was also a regular for the Three Lions at the World Cup, helping them reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Rival clubs have spent good money to bring in young and talented players to reinforce their squad for years to come. The Blues are undergoing a transition, both on and off the pitch and landing the 19-year-old could prove to a statement signing.
