“You’ll find out”- Teenage Chelsea target teases future plans in fresh transfer verdict

Youssoufa Moukoko gives an update about his future amid Chelsea interest

Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Youssoufa Moukoko has given an update about his future amid transfer links. Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in the 18-year-old.

The German international sees his current contract expire in 2023 and has now given a brief update about his future while speaking to reporters (h/t Football. London).

“I will make my decision at the right moment. I feel so happy at BVB and I know Edin Terzić trusts me. You’ll find out if I decide to stay at BVB or not.”

His comments would indicate that the youngster is happy at the German club and will likely want to extend his stay there. It would kind of make sense for the youngster to choose this option.

Moukoko has been a regular for Dortmund this season. Their academy graduate has featured in 22 games so far in all competitions, scoring six goals and registering the same number of assists in the process.

A series of strong performances has also earned him a call-up to the national team for the World Cup in Qatar. The Blues could do with a young striker like him in their squad, although he may not be a regular here like in Germany.

For a long time the west London club has had trouble finding a consistent striker who could find the back of the net. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is the main striker for the team this season, has struggled in front of goal.

Armando Broja, who is young still needs to improve a lot to become a regular for the club. Adding Moukoko to the squad would help secure that department for years to come and also have two of the most exciting players in the squad.

The youngster is likely to feature in the World Cup this year. A decent performance there might entice the Blues to make a move for him in January. With his contract expiring soon, whether the player signs a new deal with Dortmund or Chelsea remains to be seen.
