A look at the Chelsea players called up for England at youth levels

The international break will begin after this weekend gets over. Club football will come to a halt and Chelsea fans will then tune in to support their players on international duty.

While the main focus is usually given to the senior national squad, it is equally important to support the Young Lions at the youth levels. After all, these are the players who are the future of the country.

So we will summarise all Chelsea players who will be on international duty this month for their respective levels. Midfielders Leo Castledine and Samuel Rak-Sakyi have been called up for Neil Ryan’s England Under-18 side.

They will play a mini-tournament this month with three-other nations. The young Lions will face the Netherlands on 21st September, Faroe Islands on the 23rd September and for their final game will play Belgium on 26th September.

Simon Rusk, the England Under-19 coach has called up defender Lewis Hall and forward Zak Sturge from the west London club. They will begin their European U-19 title defence this month with a match against Montenegro on 21st of September.

As for the Under-20 side, four Chelsea players have been called up namely, Teddy Sharman-Lowe, Bashir Humphreys, Carney Chukwuemeka and Harvey Vale. They are set to play three games during the international break against Chile, Morocco and Australia.

Harvey Vale is currently on loan at Hull City.

England Under-21 coach Lee Carsley has called up Levi Colwill and Conor Gallagher for his side. Gallagher made his senior debut last year but missed the cut for the senior team this time. This could be another chance for the midfielder to have a shot at joining the senior team again.
