“To grow”- Chelsea target playing in Milan makes admission about his future

Chelsea target Martin Satriano makes Tottenham Hotspur claim amid future admission

Chelsea target Martin Satriano has sent a message regarding his future while making an ecstatic claim about Tottenham Hotspur. The striker is currently plying his trade out on loan in Ligue 1 with Brest, where he has enjoyed a solid spell so far despite joining only in January.

The Blues have previously expressed their interest in signing Satriano, according to The Mirror (h/t The Express). They have now been linked with the attacker and could rejoin pursuit in the future. Tottenham have remained in the transfer race as they look to raid Inter Milan and prise him away before other

Speaking in an interview with the Italian publication L’Interista (h/t The Express), The Uruguay international expressed that he is in the dark about his future as his focus is to complete his loan spell right now. Satriano is keeping his options open as he has not ruled out an exit when he could have committed his future to Inter.

“I still don’t know: I can’t tell you now what my future will be. I only think about finishing the season. And about the holidays.”

Should Chelsea target Satriano?

The 21-year-old also addressed the interest from Spurs as he is delighted to know that teams are keeping tabs on his progress. He added how that could indicate that his growth is going smoothly but has remained grounded by expressing how improvements can still be made.

“I have heard and read about Tottenham, I am obviously glad that some teams have noticed me, but only because it means that I am doing well. I am young and I have to grow.”

The Nerazzurri starlet is one of the highly-rated young centre-forwards in Italian football at the moment. As such, it would not be a surprise to see the West London side formally rekindle their interest in the future. That is especially the case with their attacking woes despite the additions of superstars like Timo Werner or Romelu Lukaku.

Then again, there are doubts whether the Italian side would sell Satriano or not, especially since he is tied down until 2027. After all, Edin Dzeko is nearing the end of his playing career, which means that they would need someone to partner Lautaro Martinez in the frontline in the near future.

Not to mention, they sold Lukaku to us last summer. Satriano could potentially be the one to replace Dzeko, which is a possibility when the South American returns from his loan spell this summer. That could be an issue if Thomas Tuchel’s side is keen to get their hands on the Uruguayan forward in the future.

Then again, we also have another young striker in our ranks, with Armando Broja being in line to rejoin us from Southampton after this season. Tuchel even recently expressed that Broja will be with the first team in the pre-season, and the attacker could impress his boss ending the need to sign Satriano.

We have issues in the defence that must be solved, which would take a chunk out of our transfer budget. In such a case, perhaps it is best to manage our expenses and make use of what we have at hand. Hence, Broja could provide a more reasonable choice than Satriano in this situation.
