Ralph Hassenhutl admits that Chelsea loanee Armando Broja is enjoying life at Southampton

According to HampshireLive, Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhutl has suggested that his club will do everything in their hand to extend the stay of Chelsea loanee Armando Broja

After moving to Southampton the last summer, the youngster has enjoyed a great spell bagging seven goals and one assist in 19 matches across all competitions. But, the Albanian will have a decision to make once his loan deal comes to an end next summer.

Chelsea may feel the need to recall Armando Broja from his Southampton loan spell.

In the press conference ahead of the Wolves clash, Ralph Hassenhutl suggested that his club will talk with Chelsea and try to find a possible solution for extending Armando Broja’s stay. The manager also added that staying at Southampton would be more beneficial for the growth of the 20-year-old forward because he ‘enjoys’ playing for the club.

“We will find the right conversation with the player, the agent and his club. We’ll find out what they want, what Chelsea want. He likes it here; he enjoys it here. These are all reasons why he is developing. We must find the right decision for the boy, if it suits the club, then that is even better.”

Our strikers have been pretty off-track in this campaign, looking at the disappointing number of goals Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic have managed among themselves. Record signing Romelu Lukaku has fared a little better and has the eight goals in all competitions, just one better than Broja.

The midfielders have to step up in several matches to save us from a defeat. Thus, we do require quality reinforcements in the attacking lineup. But, after spending a hefty sum of money last summer for the former Inter Milan striker, we might not have the luxury to splash the cash for another big-name signing.

In such a case, calling Broja could help tackle the situation. With Pulisic falling down the pecking order, the Albanian would undoubtedly get a considerable amount of game time if he continues to shine.
