PSG plot massive deal to beat Real Madrid to 28-year-old Chelsea superstar

Paris Saint-Germain make official offer to Chelsea for Real Madrid target Antonio Rudiger

According to the French outlet Foot Mercato (h/t ESPN), Paris Saint-Germain have made an official offer to Chelsea for centre-back Antonio Rudiger to persuade him from signing up with Real Madrid. Uncertainty surrounds the German’s future at Stanford Bridge and has caught the attention of several clubs.

Rudiger has entered the final six months of his current deal with the Blues, meaning he could reach a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs this month. PSG have put forward an offer worth €7 million per season as they try to convince him to move to the French capital next season.

The German seems to have set his eyes on Real for a potential transfer when his contract expires. Les Parisiens are hoping that their wage offer would be enough to tempt him away from the Spanish capital. The English club are still hopeful that an agreement can be reached with the defender looking at his importance in the defensive backline.

Chelsea- be wary!

With an official offer already on the table, negotiations over a renewal would become even difficult moving forward. The 28-year-old could use the Ligue 1 side’s proposal as a means to ask Marina Granovskaia to meet his demands. The more time passes, the riskier our chances become as others could join the mix.

The contribution of the German international on our defence cannot simply be put to words, meaning we must keep him at the club at all costs. If the club are hesitant to meet his £200,000 a week salary demands, we must use other means like performance-related add-ons and achievement bonuses to put an offer in that region.

That would mean that if we are paying the full extent of his salary package, the team would have attained titles in that term. The Blues centre-back would more than deserve to get those wages in such a case, and we have to put this matter to bed before other clubs arrive at the scene.

The German star was down the pecking order under Frank Lampard, and it is Tuchel who revived his career. That’s not all, as we have a successful formula and leaving us may not always guarantee success as the factors are different elsewhere.

Our sporting project is pretty good, and we can genuinely compete for all competitions during a season. With reasons like these to stay, Granovskaia has to attempt to make the Chelsea defender stay by offering a feasible salary that matches his output. Whether he would stay or not remains to be seen as we could get an idea as the summer transfer window draws close.
