Injury News: Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku posts an update on Twitter

According to Football.London, English Premier League leaders Chelsea are set to be handed a massive boost as their star striker Romelu Lukaku is ready to return after an injury lay-off.

Lukaku has posted a cryptic update on his Twitter account regarding his injury as the Blue striker is nearing a return. The Belgian, who joined Chelsea in the summer in a club-record deal from Inter Milan, picked up an ankle injury during Chelsea’s 4-0 win in Champions League over Malmo at Stamford Bridge in October.

The 28-year-old teased Chelsea fans by posting a few emojis as he gave an indication that it’s almost time to return back on the pitch.

With the international break on, Lukaku will have time to ensure he gets back to full fitness as Chelsea aim to welcome him back to the side for their league clash away to Leicester City on November 20.

The former Manchester United frontman started brightly in his second stint at Stamford Bridge when he scored three goals in his first-three fixtures, but hit a bit of a dry spell after going four league fixtures without a goal before his injury.

Prior to Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel spoke on Lukaku’s return and confirmed their plans for the forward.

“We have the national break now then we will be more clear. We will use the time and see what is going on during the second week of the national break. If you ask me the question, I can be more precise than now. We will use the break, have treatment every day for him.”
