Injury boost for Chelsea as English international returns to training ahead of Leicester clash

Chelsea star Mason Mount returns to training ahead of Leicester City match

According to Leicestershire Live, Thomas Tuchel will be boosted by the return of Chelsea ace Mason Mount to training ahead of the Premier League fixture against Leicester City. His team will travel to King Power Stadium on Saturday and look to keep hold of their position at the Premier League summit.

Mount had struggled to get going in front of goal this season, but the hat-trick against Norwich City saw him put those ghosts behind. He has three goals and two assists in eight league matches this season and has helped Tuchel to have a great start to the season so far.

The 22-year-old underwent surgery on his teeth last week and had missed the World Cup qualifiers for the England national team. There were doubts relating to his availability for the game on 20 November, but he has returned to training and is now in contention to make the matchday squad.

The midfielder was called up by England manager, Gareth Southgate for the November qualifiers but had returned to Cobham since he had not recovered. He now faces a race against time to get in shape but is expected to make the squad.

Previously, he had missed the match against Newcastle United but had featured in the game against Burnley. The German coach would want to get his services as soon as possible since they will run into a cramped fixture list,

Romelu Lukaku was also spotted in training as he tries to get match fit ahead of the league clash. It is still uncertain whether he would make it in time for the game or would only be available against Juventus.
