“For club and country”- Some fans react as Chelsea ace scores to help team win WCQ encounter

Fans react as Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz scores for Germany in FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifier against Armenia

Chelsea ace Kai Havertz and Germany recorded a scintillating victory against Armenia in their latest World Cup Qualifier fixture. Die Mannschaft managed to run riot and won with a scoreline of 1-4 against their hosts. The German team dominated the match right from the initial moment and it wasn’t long before they got on the scoresheet.

The 22-year-old Chelsea starlet opened the scoring on the night in the 15th minute of the game and there was no looking back after that.

The Germans had the greater possession and looked much more assured with it than their opponents on the day. Havertz made a darting run towards the near post and a smart touch helped him steer the ball past Stanislav Buchnev.

Ilkay Gundogan scored on either side of the half as Jonas Hofmann completed the trashing by hammering it in the goal. Germany are sitting comfortably in 1st position of Group J of the FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifier with 27 points after playing 10 matches in the group. North Macedonia is a distant second with 18 points after the same number of games.

The Nationalelf were in cruise control for most periods of the match even though Armenia managed to pull one back when Henrikh Mkhitaryan converted from the spot in the 59th minute. Joaquín Caparrós’ men have struggled to put any points on the board and are winless in their last 5 fixtures.

The Blues fans expressed their delight as their talented youngster got on the scoresheet. Havertz has been putting in important contributions recently in the absence of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner for the West-London club recently. The Supporters were filled with excitement and would be hoping that the 22-year-old German international can continue scoring goals for the Stamford Bridge outfit once club football resumes.
