“Good momentum”- Chelsea attacker gives his view on Premier League title race

Callum Hudson-Odoi thinks consistency will be key for Chelsea in Premier League title race

Talking to TalkSport (h/t Football.London), Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi thinks that consistency will be the most important thing for the Blues if they have to lift the Premier League trophy this season.

Chelsea are currently top of the Premier League table, leading Manchester City and West Ham United by three points after eleven matches. So far the west Londoners have won eight and lost just a single game this season.

As far as the title race is shaping up – it seems Chelsea will be rivaled by defending champions City and for sure Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who are at the moment fourth in the points table – four points behind the 5-time Premier League winners.

However, despite the solid start, Hudson-Odoi is yet to get carried away. He believes momentum is key going into a game. Little we can argue given how the club has put together runs under Tuchel.

“We started really well and I think it’s good to have momentum and we’ve had good momentum going into every game.”

The 21-year-old believes the Blues are in a good position right now. Chelsea will need to be consistent to ensure they come out on top come the end of the season.

“I think the position that we’re in now is a very good one but we have to maintain it and stay consistent to stay at the top and try and win the Premier League. We know what we need to do.”

Next month or so will be pretty crucial for Chelsea’s chances in the league this time around as they are set to play around 13 games in 43 days across three separate competitions.

This will surely test the Blues squad depth and coach Thomas Tuchel might have to priorities matches to keep squad fitness in tact.

After four seasons without the title, Chelsea fans have a belief that Tuchel might finally end their dry run in the EPL and they finally end the domestic domination of Manchester City and Liverpool.
