“I don’t feel offended”- Tuchel responds to Conte criticism and provides an update on missing midfield ace

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel responds to Antonio Conte’s comments on Romelu Lukaku

According to the club’s official site, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has responded to Antonio Conte’s comments on ace striker Romelu Lukaku.

The former Inter boss got the best out of the Belgian during their time at the San Siro. The duo worked together as Inter Milan won the Serie A title last season, ending Juventus’s vice-like grip on the trophy.

He believes Chelsea are yet to come up with a plan to get the best out of Lukaku. Tuchel has now hit back and believes Conte should look at a larger sample size of matches before arriving at the conclusion.

Chelsea fell to a 1-0 defeat against Juventus earlier in the week, a match that saw Lukaku end up largely isolated upfront. Tuchel believes it is unfair to consider that performance as the basis for a verdict.

“Of course, if you watch this game against Juventus isolated, he is right on that point and he’s obviously in the TV studio to analyse this one game so he’s right, no discussion about it, but it’s not a general thing. If you watch the other games he’s maybe not right.”

The Chelsea boss is not offended by Conte’s comments and believes he is just doing his job. Lukaku’s best days n a blue jersey are yet to come. Hopefully, we will soon see Conte go on about why the Belgian is such a great striker

“I don’t feel offended, don’t get me wrong. He has every right, he is in the TV studio to do so.”

Tuchel has also issued an update on Chelsea superstar N’Golo Kante who is currently isolating after a positive COVID test. The French man will miss our clash against Southampton later today.

“N’Golo has symptoms but not a lot of symptoms.”

The Blues boss admits that Kante is doing well but has refused to go into details. The midfielder will hopefully return to action soon and continue to make a difference for us on the pitch.

Chelsea have lost two games on the spin now and will be keen to return to winning ways. Despite the setback, the Blues are just one point off the top of the Premier League.

With Liverpool and Manchester City set to face off, we have an excellent opportunity to close the gap at the top and maybe even take the summit for ourselves.
