Transfer News: Chelsea emerge as potential suitors for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen

According to transfer news from The Sun Nigeria, Chelsea have emerged as potential suitors for Victor Osimhen. Expert Ciro Venerato went on to claim that the Napoli striker is attracting interest from Chelsea and other clubs such as Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United. He also provided the analysis that his market value had tripled.

Over the last few seasons, Victor Osimhen has grown into one of the most prolific strikers of the game. It was his move to Lille in 2019 that shot him to fame. On the back of those performances, Napoli made the decision to go after him. The Nigerian is only 22-years of age but has already scored 16 goals in 36 games for Napoli so far.

Now, his form has attracted the attention of several clubs including Chelsea. Expert Ciro Venerato went on to analyse that Osimhen has seen his market value rise three times. He went on to claim that along with Chelsea, several other elite sides such as Real Madrid, Manchester United and PSG are admirers of the Nigerian.

“Osimhen is already worth three times more. Chelsea, PSG, (Manchester) United and Real Madrid already like him.”

That should put Osimhen’s value at a staggering €150 million. The Napoli striker has hit a level of consistency this season and it was not really surprising to see him being linked with those top clubs.

It’s rather surprising to think that Chelsea would already go after another striker so soon after signing Romelu Lukaku only a month or so back. It is understandable that Osimhen is in rampant form with six goals in the last four games. However, Chelsea have far too many attackers at their disposal and adding another seems rather illogical.
