Report: 19-year-old American starlet close to completing Chelsea move

Transfer News: Ajax ace Joshua Pynadath could soon complete move to Chelsea

According to Ajax Showtime (h/t football.london), youngster Joshua Pynadath is awaiting his work permit before he completes a move to Chelsea.

In recent years, the Blues are beginning to put in more faith in the youth of the club, something that increased considerably when they were handed a transfer ban back in 2019.

However, then the manager Frank Lampard instilled his faith in the youth and brought through the likes of Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Billy Gilmour, Tino Anjorin, and a couple of other youngsters.

Tariq Lamptey was also given a chance to feature for the Blues but later went on to sign for Brighton & Hove Albion. However, the club have now started to include buy-back clauses while selling some of their young players.

Both Tino Livramento, Tino Anjorin, and Tammy Abraham were set up with buy-back clauses in their deals when they made the move to Southampton, Lokomotiv Moscow, and A.S Roma, respectively this summer. Thus, the long-term idea might be shaped around the youth and the club are about to add another youngster into the frame.

Joshua Pynadath, who has been training with the Blues since March, is awaiting a work permit to sign for the club. The American wants to leave AFC Ajax and sign permanently for the west London outfit.
