Thiago Silva accused of not getting along with Chelsea teammates
Speaking to Africa Foot United (h/t Daily Star), former Premier League defender Amad Faye has claimed that Chelsea summer signing Thiago Silva doesn’t get along too well with his teammates.
The 36-year-old veteran defender signed for Chelsea last summer. The Brazilian signed for us from PSG on a free transfer when his contract ran out at the end of the last season.
Despite our recent run of form, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Silva has had somewhat of a transformative effect on the Chelsea defence. The former AC Milan and PSG defender has forged a solid partnership with Kurt Zouma, although his form has taken a hit of late.
And, former Newcastle United and Stoke City defender Faye has claimed that Silva does not get along well with his teammates, which can be a problem for Chelsea.
“There’s a big problem there for Chelsea. There’s a feeling that Thiago Silva doesn’t get along with the others. Plus, Lampard always changes his team.”
Faye’s claims, however, could not be any farther from the truth. A number of Chelsea players, current and former, have hailed the defender’s impact, while Lampard himself has been effusive in his praise of the Brazilian.
Recently, Zouma too was full of praise for Silva, insisting that he had learnt a lot from him. Ben Chilwell too has spoken about how the former PSG man helps him out on the pitch.

Silva has featured in 18 games in all competitions so far this season. He has two goals for us. Even though his form has dipped of late, the 36-year-old has made a great impact. Hopefully, he gets back to his best before long.
