Juventus and Bayern Munich prepare massive contract for Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger
According to Mirror (h/t Daily Mail), Juventus and Bayern Munich are preparing massive contract offers to lure away Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea. The German defender could be offered a staggering £400,000-per-week by those clubs to make him the highest-paid player in his position. Even PSG and Real Madrid are said to be hovering around him.
The last season was quite the two halves case for Rudiger. Sidelined under Frank Lampard, Rudiger found little to no game time. However, the appointment of Thomas Tuchel meant that he was straightaway restored to his position and went on to play a vital part in Chelsea’s run to the Champions League glory.
Rudiger has started the current campaign in good form as well. However, there are quite some dark clouds over his future at the club. The problem for Chelsea is that his current deal ends in less than a year and other clubs can swoop for him in January itself, forcing Chelsea to cash in instead of losing him for free.
It would seem Rudiger is in demand. While the German, on his part, is demanding £200,000-per-week for his new deal, his potential suitors are willing to double those figures. Juventus and Bayern Munich have shown the most interest and could offer him an eye-watering £400,000-per-week wage packet to prise him away from the Blues.

It is not surprising that clubs are willing to pay that much for Rudiger. He is arguably at his peak now at 28 and has grown to become a world-class defender. Chelsea will need to figure out a way to get things sorted sooner rather than later. He is surely one of their key players and losing him would hurt the side.
