Transfer News: Chelsea are eyeing a move for Bayer Leverkusen youngster Florian Wirtz
According to Fichajes (h/t football.london), Chelsea are keeping an eye on 18-year-old wonderkid Florian Wirtz.
The Blues, who currently possess the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic, and Romelu Lukaku in their frontline, could add another attacker to the frontline.
Werner has been in regular contact with Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann while Borussia Dortmund have also been eyeing a deal for the German forward. The 25-year-old has suffered for game-time at the London club this season and there is a lot of uncertainty over his future.
Additionally, Callum Hudson-Odoi has also spent a majority of his time on the pitch under Thomas Tuchel in the right-wing-back area rather than on the wings. Thus, the addition of another attacker could certainly be a timely one.
The West London club are eyeing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen youngster Florian Wirtz, who enjoyed a break-out season at the German club last season. The 18-year-old managed 38 appearances across all competitions last season and scored 8 goals and 8 assists in the process as he helped the club secure a 6th place finish in the league.
The Bayer Leverkusen man has not lost any speed this season as he has started the season in good form by scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists in 3 games for his club.
