Chelsea players enjoyed a productive night of international games as the likes of Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger found the net (h/t official Chelsea site). Several others such as Jorginho, Kai Havertz and Mason Mount were among the first-team stars in action. Loaned out players such as Armando Broja, Michy Batshuayi and Ethan Ampadu were also on the field.

The international break is over for the European teams with only another matchday to go in South America. Several of our stars were in action over the last few days and yesterday also saw a number of players in action. Star midfielder Jorginho was handed the captain’s armband and led Italy to a 5-0 romp over Lithuania.

Our trio of German stars was on the pitch as Germany had no difficulty swatting aside Iceland. Timo Werner made up for his shocking miss with a goal while Antonio Rudiger also got in amongst the goals. Kai Havertz joined in later in the game. The win solidifies Germany’s position at the top of Group J. Meanwhile, Mason Mount played out the full game against Poland with England managing a draw.

Reece James had to sit this one out but Cesar Azpilicueta came off the bench against Georgia. Elsewhere, a number of out loaned out stars were involved with their teams. Armando Broja continued his goal-scoring spree with Albania as they ran riot over San Marino. Michy Batshuayi was handed a rare start for Belgium while Ethan Ampadu played the whole game for Wales.
