Team News: Chelsea could have Kai Havertz & Christian Pulisic fit for the game on the weekend
According to football.london, Chelsea have been handed a major boost after Christian Pulisic returned to action for the USA during the international break.
The American international featured for the Blues during pre-season as well as in the UEFA Super Cup final, as the 22-year-old took one of the decisive kicks in the penalty shootout. That led to the winger starting the season opener for the club against Crystal Palace.
Pulisic was incredible yet again as he managed to get on the scoresheet against the Eagles but tested positive for Covid-19 a few days later. Since then, the winger has missed games against Arsenal and Liverpool. However, the player has now come out of isolation and has also featured for his country.
This could be a major boost for Tuchel, who is hoping to have all of his players back fit before the Blues enter into a hectic schedule of 7 games in 22 days.
The fitness of Pulisic is not the only good news for Chelsea’s German boss as Kai Havertz has also recovered from his illness, according to the Metro. The 22-year-old, who has featured in every single game for the Blues this season, was crucial during the club’s clash against Liverpool as he scored a peach of a header in the opening 20 minutes.
Tuchel would have wanted the player back fit post the international break, something that seemed tough after the forward suffered flu-like symptoms after he featured for Die Mannschaft against Lichtenstein.

Havertz also went on to miss his country’s game against Armenia but has since been pictured back in training for his nation and is now in contention for Germany’s next game.
Thus, this is a big boost for Chelsea, who will be hoping to start off their run of fixtures post the international break with a win against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
