Transfer News: Declan Rice happy at West Ham amid Chelsea transfer links

According to news from Metro, Declan Rice is said to be happy at West Ham despite the transfer links to Chelsea. The midfielder reiterated his position on playing for the Hammers and was focused on the ongoing season with them.

Chelsea are no strangers to Declan Rice after his brief stint as an academy player during his younger days. Since his move to West Ham, he has established himself as one of the finest young midfielders in the league. His performances for West Ham have also resulted in a fast track to the England national side.

Hence, it was not really surprising to see Chelsea return for the 22-year-old. He has been the subject of interest from Manchester City and United as well. It is likely that a move is made in January as all three clubs are planning to do the same after an impressive season for him with West Ham and England.

However, Chelsea and those clubs could be set to receive a blow in any potential move for Rice. The player has spoken about being happy at West Ham.

‘We’ve spoken about it lots in the past. Everyone knows how I feel about West Ham and how I feel about playing under the manager and what it’s like playing with the group of players I’m playing with. I feel you can see in my performances nothing’s up, nothing’s concerning me. I’m playing with a smile on my face, I’m going out there, I’m leading the team.’
