Andreas Christensen wants Chelsea to bounce back against Juventus
Speaking to the club’s official website (h/t Football.london), Andreas Christensen feels that the game against Juventus could be the ideal one to bounce back after the defeat. The Danish defender admitted it was unpleasant to lose against Manchester City but wants his side to respond with a strong show in the next game.
Chelsea finally broke against Man City over the weekend as Thomas Tuchel’s three-game win streak over Pep Guardiola came to an end. It was a narrow and close win for the visiting side as Gabriel Jesus managed to get his shot in which deflected off Antonio Rudiger. Chelsea looked like they were overwhelmed on occasions as City held firm.
The loss was the first of the season and quite a rare one for our gaffer. Nonetheless, Chelsea cannot mull over it for too long as they have a tough game against Juventus on Wednesday in the Champions League. This game is likely to be the toughest of the group for Chelsea and they will need to get back to their best.
Andreas Christensen has asked his Chelsea mates to respond to the defeat against City. He conceded that the Juventus game could be tough but it was the perfect chance to bounce back.
“It’s the perfect game to respond, absolutely. It’s not nice to lose our first match, but now we have another game coming up very quickly and it’s another tough game as well. It will be a tough game but it’s a great opportunity to get back to playing football the way we want to play, the way we see ourselves, playing on the front foot again.”
