Transfer News: Besiktas in talks with Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi
According to transfer news from reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas are in talks with Chelsea over a move for Michy Batshuayi. Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin spoke about the same and expects the player to join the Turkish side as early as next week.
It’s somewhat difficult to gauge Michy Batshuayi’s time at Chelsea over the last five years. He came in as a talented striker from Marseille and was expected to provide competition to first-choice strikers such as Diego Costa during that time. It has definitely not gone according to plan, one can safely say now.
During his time at the club, he has hardly featured and has been regularly sent out on loan- to Valencia, Dortmund and twice to Crystal Palace. Batshuyai has never looked close to his best after another underwhelming season at Selhurst Park.
Now, it seems the Belgian could well be on his way out of Chelsea. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano quoted Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin over a possible move for Batshuayi. A rather swift exit could also be on the cards.
“We’re currently in talks to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea. If nothing goes wrong, I expect him to join the squad next week”.

In all honesty, Batshuayi has been a disappointing signing for the club. For the limited chances he received, he wasn’t able to show his prowess. He could not make it work in his loan spells either. With so many attackers at the club right now, letting go of Batshuayi shouldn’t be much cause for concern.
