Thomas Tuchel remains relaxed over lack of signings at Chelsea
According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is not fazed over the lack of signings at the club. There have not been any marquee deals over the summer so far and most of the business has been to offload players. Amidst all that Tuchel has remained calm and not been flustered over the lack of new names.
Chelsea have been a stark contrast to their own selves from last season. By this time last year, the Blues were going all gung-ho in the transfer market signing top names to bolster the squad. By the end of the transfer window, Chelsea almost had a whole new first XI to speak of.
While last year saw a flurry of new arrivals, this year it has been the opposite. Chelsea have been focused on offloading players to lighten their bloated squad. The likes of Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Victor Moses and a host of other names have left the club while players such as Billy Gilmour have gone out temporarily.
It’s not that Chelsea have not gone after players. High profile names such as Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Jules Kounde have all been linked but any sort of deal has proven to be difficult to pull off. Despite any prominent signings yet to arrive, Thomas Tuchel is said to be remaining calm (h/t Express).

Quite what Chelsea have in mind for the rest of the transfer window is unknown. Given the good work Tuchel did last season, it would be a mistake to not get him some reinforcements for the coming season. However, Chelsea are slowly running out of time as the window closes in less than a month.
