Founded in 1905, Chelsea today are one of the most successful clubs in England. Although it took the Blues until 2005 to win their second English league title, the club have always been around in the Premier League and have tasted a lot of European success as well. The West London club have won 2 Champions League trophies, 2 Europa League trophies, 2 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and 2 UEFA Super Cup’s, courtesy of which, they are also one of the most successful clubs in England in terms of European success. 

The Blues have only ever had one home ground since their existence i.e., Stamford Bridge. Year on year, tons of fans flock to the Bridge to support the Blues in their quest to win titles. The atmosphere inside the stadium on matchdays is incredible as the fans sing a number of chants to cheer on their teams.

5. Blue is the colour

The chant ‘Blue is the colour’ is one of the most famous chants amongst the Chelsea fan and is normally sung during the beginning of games to motivate the players and to create a thumping atmosphere around the club. Apart from the beginning, this chant is also used against ‘away’ fans when the Blues are winning the games by a big margin. The lyrics are as follows:

Blue is the colour, football is the game

 We’re all together, and winning is our aim.

4. Over Land and Sea (We all Follow):

The chant ‘Over Land and Sea’ is a song sung by the fans, especially during the Champions League games. The atmosphere around the stadium during a European game is unreal as the fans are bouncing with optimism and motivation throughout the game. The lyrics are as follows:

3. Carefree

A song sung with a lot of love and a lot of pride by the Blues’ fans, the ‘Carefree’ chant is often sung by the fans after the players come out of the half-time interval to boost the atmosphere around the stadium. It is also often used against ‘rival’ fans to indicate that the West London club is the greatest club in the world and the fans take a lot of pride in this. Sung by everybody in the stadium in perfect harmony, the lyrics are as follows:

2. Blue Day

The chant ‘Blue Day’ is a song originally sung by ‘Suggs & Co’ in a famous video that featured members of the Chelsea first- team. Over the years, this song has been sung with a lot of delight at Stamford Bridge and is close to the heart of a lot of local fans as it directly relates to them. The lyrics are as follows:
