Kenedy is close to sealing an exit from Chelsea, taking the Blues earnings to nearly £100million this summer
According to football.london, Chelsea are closing in on executing sales in transfers to nearly £100million this summer as Brazilian winger Kenedy nears exit.
According to Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande (h/t football.london), Kenedy has agreed to join Flamengo on a season-long loan deal. The winger, who joined Chelsea in 2015, has barely played for the club in recent seasons and has only racked up 27 appearances in his time at the club, with a major chunk of it coming during the 2015/16 season under Jose Mourinho.
Since then, the player has been sent on five loan spells in the last five years, including moves to Newcastle United, Watford, Granada, and Getafe over the same period.
However, given that Flamengo have the option to make the winger’s deal permanent next summer for £8.5million, it could take Chelsea’s summer transfer earnings to nearly £100million.
The Blues, who recently executed the sale of Tammy Abraham to Roma, earned £34million from that transfer while they also secured £20million from the sale of Marc Guehi to Crystal Palace. Fikayo Tomori, who had joined AC Milan on loan for the second half of last season, also secured a permanent move to the club, courtesy of which the Blues earned £26million.
These three major sales have accounted for nearly 4/5th of their entire transfer income this summer, while they also earned from the sales of academy graduates like Tino Livramento, Dynel Simeu, Lewis Bate, and several others.

The Stamford Bridge outfit also managed to make AC Milan cough up £1million for Olivier Giroud while they also earned £4.5million from the sale of forgotten man Victor Moses.
Thus, taking all this into account, Chelsea have managed to earn nearly £100million, something they have already invested by signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan on a club-record deal of £97.5million.
