According to Sky Sports, Chelsea would be willing to consider any offers for Tammy Abraham this summer, amid interest from London rivals Arsenal and West Ham United.
A product of the Blues’ youth academy, Abraham has had to bide his time to get a shot at first-team football at the Bridge. But his chance came in the 2019/20 season and he made the most of it, enjoying a fine campaign even if he did lose his way somewhat towards the end of the season.
The arrivals of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz last summer saw him get pushed down the order in 2020/21. Furthermore, Abraham completely became an afterthought at Chelsea once Thomas Tuchel took over in January. Even then, the England international finished the season as the joint top-scorer.
However, with Chelsea eyeing a new centre-forward signing this summer, Abraham’s time at the club is pretty much up. And, there seems to be no shortage of suitors for the striker either. London rivals, Arsenal and West Ham United have both shown an interest in securing his services. (h/t Sky Sports)
The report further adds that Chelsea would be open to offers for the England striker. However, as for the transfer fee that the club are looking for, it is said to be in the upwards of £40m, which could potentially become a problem.
Abraham has two years left on his contract with Chelsea. But it feels almost certain that he will not be at the Bridge come next season. As to where he ends up, only time will tell.
