Federico Chiesa was targeted by Bayern and Chelsea, but their highly tempting offers to Juventus fell on deaf ears, with the player considered the base of the team that Allegri is building for the new season.

One of the people who shone a lot this summer during Euro 2020 was Federico Chiesa, but it seems that in addition to the Italian federal coach, Roberto Mancini, in a prominent position is the player and Massimo Allegri.

According to a report by “Sportmediaset”, Allegri has clarified to the Juventus management that the only player he does not want to lose in view of the new season, even compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dimbala, is the 23-year-old striker.

The same medium even revealed that in the previous period, a proposal of 80 million euros from Bayern and then 100 million from Chelsea, which both were rejected by summary procedures, first reached the offices of the Bianconeri.

It is noted that Juventus acquired the player on a two-year loan from Fiorentina, agreeing to pay 3 million euros last year and 7 this season, while it has the obligation to acquire him in the summer of 2022 with a regular transfer, paying 40 million euros in violas plus 10 million bonusesassociated with achieving goals.

Federico Chiesa was born on October 25, 1997. He is an Italian football player born in Genoa. He is the son of the former football player Enrico Chiesa.

Chiesa played until 2016 in the youth department of Fiorentina. He was taken over in the professional squad for the 2016/17 season by coach Paulo Sousa. On August 2016 Chiesa made his Serie A debut. On the the first matchday he was in the starting line-up of Viola in the 2-1 defeat by Juventus Turin.

At the beginning of October 2020, Chiesa moved to Juventus Turin on loan shortly before the end of the transfer period until June 30, 2022. Initially, a rental fee of 10 million euros was due. Depending on the achievement of sporting goals, Juventus Turin either has the obligation or the option to acquire the transfer rights from Chiesa after the loan ends.

In both cases, the transfer fee is 40 million euros and can be increased to up to 50 million euros through bonus payments. Under the head coach Andrea Pirlo, Chiesa was one of the permanent staff. In the league, he came to 30 appearances (28 times from the start), in which he scored 8 goals.

There were also 8 appearances (6 times in the starting line-up) in the Champions League, in which he scored 4 goals. The offensive player contributed 2 goals in 4 appearances to win the Coppa Italia. In the league and Champions League, however, Juventus largely disappointed.

While they only just reached the Champions League qualification in 4th place after 9 championships in a row, they were eliminated in this round of 16.

Chiesa played for Italian youth teams from the U19. He debuted in the Italian national team in 2018 against Argentina in Manchester.

At the victorious European Championship in 2021, he was in the Italian squad and was used in each of the seven tournament games. The winger was then elected to the team of the tournament.
