Transfer News: Blow for Chelsea as Achraf Hakimi’s agent reveals PSG move

According to transfer news from Daily Mail, Chelsea received a blow when the agent of Achraf Hakimi revealed that his PSG move was close. While it is not officially done yet, talks are in the advanced stages and a £60million deal is close.

Having signed for the Italian giants last season, Hakimi went on to play a critical role. The Nerazzurri lifted their first Serie A crown in eleven years, guided by Antonio Conte. Despite their title success, Inter Milan are mired in financial difficulties and may be forced to cash in on their key players in the summer.

Chelsea had registered their interest in the Moroccan as they felt he would be a good fit for Thomas Tuchel’s new set-up. The Blues looked to be close to getting a deal over the line, with an offer of £52million plus Marcos Alonso.

However, now it looks as if PSG have almost sealed the deal for him with a £60million offer. His agent all but confirmed the move and even claimed that negotiations were in the advanced stages.

‘We talked about several things, we can’t say yet that Hakimi is a new PSG player. We talked about everything. Is Hakimi is sad to leave Inter? Those who leave Inter are always sad.’

More Chelsea News:

Hakimi would have no doubt been a solid addition to Tuchel’s side. He is a natural wing-back, which would allow someone like Azpilicueta to play in central defence. However, Chelsea might now have to look at alternatives if they want someone to fill that role.
