Transfer News: Chelsea youngster Tino Livramento pursued by five clubs

According to an update by Goal.com’s Nizaar Kinsella, RB Leipzig, Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion have entered the race to sign Chelsea teenager Tino Livramento, who is already wanted by AC Milan and Aston Villa.

Livramento has been part of the Chelsea youth setup from a very young age and has grown into a highly exciting young full-back. The 18-year-old was named the club’s Academy Player of the Year for the season gone by as he racked up impressive numbers of three goals and ten assists from 26 appearances in all competitions.

Livramento, who is a right-back by trade, is held in the highest of regards within Chelsea. However, the teenager’s contract with the Blues runs out in a year, which has led to serious interest in his services from several quarters this summer.

Indeed, AC Milan had already made an enquiry for the talented 18-year-old full-back, while closer to home, Premier League rivals Aston Villa have also expressed an interest. Now, as per Kinsella’s update, the two clubs have also been joined by PL outfits Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton, along with Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig.

Chelsea, though, are trying their best to keep ahold of Livramento and are working on tying down the teenager to a new contract with the club.

Considering that Chelsea don’t really have a lot of cover at right-back for first-choice Reece James, holding onto Livramento before slowly introducing him into the senior team would be the ideal move. However, it remains to be seen whether the club is able to convince the teenager to stay put at the Bridge.
